Sabina Frederick

Sabina Frederick is a proud double Gator from Orlando, FL. She received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and is currently a third year law student. Sabina has served the University of Florida in various capacities and areas, such as the Florida Blue Key, Florida Cicerones, and Student Government to name a few. As an alumus she plans to serve the UF community with integrity, honor and excellence. Go Gators!

Marie Triche

"A Family Affair"
Marie Triche was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Ms. Triche has resided in the United States since the age of two and calls Florida her home. Since her adolescent years she has worked in South Florida on civic engagement projects targeting marginalized communities. Marie graduated from Hialeah High with high honors. Subsequently, she attended Florida A&M University where she graduated magna cum laude. At Florida A&M she served as Student Government Senator, Activities Director for the Haitian Cultural Club, and Vice-President of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is currently pursuing her law degree at the University of Florida College of Law. Upon graduation, Marie hopes to work in international law with a focus on global politics. Ms. Triche also aims to work in Haiti by revitalizing rural areas through urban development, increasing the commercial trade of goods and services, and promoting political stability.

Elena Rogers
First-year law student
"A First Year Perspective"
Elena Rogers was born and raised in St. Thomas, USVI and graduated from Charlotte Amalie High School. In 1996, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia and for 10 years, she worked in the Social Services/Juvenile Justice fields in California, Florida and Virginia. During this time, Mrs. Rogers worked with children and their families to help them overcome barriers and navigate the world of government policies. She currently volunteers with the Guardian Ad Litem program for Marion County's 5th Circuit and with Higher Ground Christian Fellowship of Ocala. She is a wife and a mother and a first year law student at the University of Florida. Her desire is to assist minority groups and the indigent in her community with issues relating to family law, domestic violence, juvenile dependency and immigration. She also hopes to help mentor Virgin Island students and women in the areas of career and community development, money management and the use of available resources so that they will be empowered agents of change.
