Parking

General Parking

Though you are strongly discouraged from driving to campus, students who want to park their car on campus must have a parking decal. Decal enforcement is 7:30 am – 4:30 pm weekdays on main campus and 7:30 am – 3:30 pm weekdays around the law school. You can purchase a decal at UF Transportation and Parking Services located on Gale Lemerand Drive on the main campus. You will need your vehicle registration to purchase a decal.

The law school has more parking spaces assigned to it than any other college in the university. Nevertheless, parking can be difficult. All vehicles parked on campus must obey UF’s Parking Rules and Regulations.

Motorcycle/ Scooter A valid UF motorcycle decal is required to park a motorcycle or scooter on campus. All individuals operating a motorcycle or scooter on campus must abide by UF parking rules and regulations and park in Motorcycle/Scooter assigned parking area. All members of the UF community are eligible to purchase a motorcycle/scooter decal.

Where Can I Park? A valid UF parking decal allows the holder to utilize the parking facilities for its designated area (eg. Green, Orange, Red, etc.), parking facilities marked “All Decal” and other restricted areas. It is important to note that a parking decal does not guarantee the holder a parking space. To find the parking areas near the law school see the UF parking maps.

Park and Ride Everyone holding a UF parking decal is encouraged to familiarize themselves with the parking facilities designated “All Decal” at the Cultural Plaza (Harn Museum, Center for Performing Arts), in the unpaved lot on Bledsoe Dr. and adjacent to the UF Hotel and Conference Center. These “All Decal” facilities (meaning anybody with a valid UF decal may park) are commonly referred to as “Park and Ride” due to the shuttle service running from these facilities to the core of campus (visit the Regional Transit System for campus bus routes and scheduling information).

Parking for Students with Disabilities

If you are a student or staff member and park on campus using a state-issued disabled persons placard, you are required to purchase a UF disabled persons parking decal. You must display BOTH (state-issued and university) disabled placards on your vehicle to avoid citation. If you have a mobility-related disability, you may be eligible for special parking accommodations by purchasing a UF disabled persons decal.

In order to qualify to purchase a disabled persons decal, all applicants must bring the following documents to UF Transportation and Parking Services for review:

  • Copy of driver’s license
  • Copy of state-issued disabled persons placard
  • Copy of state-issued registration sheet for disabled persons placard

This review is required of all staff and students desiring access to disabled parking in all campus lots and garages – including those with a reserved disabled parking space. The application process is a one-time event with automatic approval for decal renewal in subsequent years. If you have any questions, please call 352-392-2241.

Visitor Parking

Visitors requiring parking accommodations at the Levin College of Law during hours of decal restriction (7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday, unless signage in the area indicates otherwise) must display a One-Day Parking Decal from the rearview mirror. The One-Day Parking Decal can be obtained at the Office of Student Affairs, 164 Holland Hall, during regular business hours. In order to obtain a One-Day Parking Decal, you must provide a license tag number and the color/make/model of the vehicle.

Be advised that only visitors with the appropriate state-issued disbaled persons placard may park in disabled persons parking spaces. All UF visitors must obey university parking rules and regulations and are subject to citation upon violation.

Visitors interested in parking on the main campus can find more information at UF Visitor Parking.
