Application Procedures
4. Meet the application and file completion deadlines.
1. PRIORITY APPLICANT POOL
- Application Deadline: January 15, 2010 for fall 2010.
- LSAT Deadline: No later than December of 2009 for fall 2010; the February 2010 LSAT is not used for fall 2010 priority pool admissions decisions.
- File completion deadline for priority pool: March 1, 2010.
NOTE: priority pool files not complete by March 1 will automatically be carried forward to the secondary pool and be part of the secondary pool from that point forward. - Priority pool decision timing: Barring unforeseen circumstances, priority pool applicants will be informed of a decision on their applications by late March.
- Priority pool financial aid (merit & need based scholarships and grants): Applicants admitted from the priority pool will have priority for all UF scholarships and grants. Specific financial aid deadlines must be met.
2. SECONDARY APPLICANT POOL
Secondary pool applicants, including those whose incomplete applications are carried forward from the priority pool, will not be considered until all applicants from the priority pool have been considered. Because it is possible that the fall 2010 entering class will be filled from the priority pool, it is possible that secondary pool applicants may only be considered for placement on the fall 2010 wait list.
- Secondary pool application deadline: May 1, 2010 for fall 2010.
- LSAT deadline: No later than February of 2010 for fall 2010; the February 2010 LSAT is only used for fall 2010 secondary pool admissions decisions. NOTE: Applicants who submit a February 2010 LSAT may be at a disadvantage since a majority of decisions are made by the time February scores are received by UF Law.
- File completion deadline for secondary pool: May 15, 2010 for fall 2010.
- Secondary pool decision timing: Between April 1, and June 15, 2010.
- Secondary pool financial aid: secondary pool applicants must meet the on time May 15 filing deadline for all financial aid materials. Because priority in awarding financial aid is given to applicants admitted from the priority pool, successful secondary pool applicants may not receive scholarships or grants.
NOTE: Any deadline falling on a weekend or holiday automatically moves forward to the next business day.
