Charlie Gray of GrayRobinson P.A. was ranked #19 in the “50 Most Powerful People” in the city of Orlando survey published in Orlando Magazine.
1963
Sylvia Walbolt with the Carlton Fields law firm in Tampa was selected as one of the “Florida Legal Elite” for 2004 in Florida Trend magazine.
1973
Arthur J. Smith is the chairperson of the real estate section of the Allegheny Bar Association in Pennsylvania.
1974
Gwynne Young of the Carlton Fields law firm in Tampa was selected as one of the “Florida Legal Elite” for 2004 in Florida Trend magazine.
Leslie J. Lott, founding partner of Lott & Friedland, P.A. in Coral Gables presented at the Law Education Institute’s National CLE Conference in Aspen, CO, on the latest developments in trademark and trade dress law and recent federal district and circuit court decisions.
1975
R. Terry Rigsby joined the Tallahassee office of Carlton Fields law firm as a shareholder in the Government Law and Consulting Program.
1976
Mark P. Buell is the chair-elect of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and will become chair in June 2005.
1977
Kim O’Connor was elected supervisor of Ochlocknee River Soil and Water Conservation in District #3 in Tallahassee.
1979
Cheryl L. Gordon was elected to a two-year term as managing shareholder at the law firm Abel Band Russell Collier Pitchford & Gordon Chartered in Sarasota.
Linda Y. Kelso, a partner in the Jacksonville firm Foley & Lardner LLP, was honored for client service skills by BTI Consulting Firm.
1980
Sharon Strayer Learch, formerly a partner at Holland and Knight in Jacksonville, opened a private practice in May 2003 and specializes in residential real estate matters.
1981
Jonathan Marcus is a partner with Holland & Knight in Ft. Lauderdale and practices real estate law primarily representing residential developers.
1983
Paul Nettleton of the Carlton Fields law firm in Tampa was selected as one of Florida Trend Magazine’s, “Florida Legal Elite” for 2004.
1984
David C. Willis, partner at Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A., was appointed to the Florida Bar Business Committee, which oversees all applications for business law certification and prepares the certification exam.
Lawrence Marraffino is in private practice in Gainesville specializing in personal injury, bankruptcy and commercial litigation, and is an adjunct faculty member at UF teaching Law Office Management and Practical Skills.
Andrew Scherman is the defending United States “Game-In-10” chess national champion.
1985
P. Campbell Ford resides in Atlantic Beach, NC with his family, and is practicing commercial and construction litigation at Ford, Miller & Wainer law firm in Jacksonville, NC.
1986
William E. Ruffier has become a partner in the Orlando firm of Dellecker, Wilson, & King, P.A. and practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical negligence, nursing home litigation, and civil rights.
1988
Russell Silverglate has become the director of community life and small group pastor at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton since receiving his M.Div. from the Reformed Theological Seminary in 2004.
1989
Michael Shapiro, vice president of Smith Barney in Boca Raton, works with clients in the areas of wealth management and estate planning strategies.
Andrew Fisher and his wife Serena welcomed their son, Michael Dignan, in December 2004.
1993
Tri Thornhill received Florida Board certification in civil trial law.
Cecilia Redding Boyd and her husband, James, celebrated the births of their daughter, Fisher Evelyn 2003, and son James Alton 2004.
William Large has been appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush as his deputy chief of staff. Large previously served as general counsel for the Department of Health and the director of the Governor’s Task Force on Professional Liability Insurance.
1994
Steven Diebenow has been appointed chief of staff for Mayor John Peyton in Jacksonville.
Lisa Bisagni opened her own law office in Ft. Lauderdale, and is specializing in real estate closings, real estate legal services, title insurance and civil litigation.
Kenneth J. McKenna became a partner in the Orlando firm of Dellecker, Wilson & King, P.A. and practices in medical malpractice and insurance bad faith.
1996
Jeremy M. Sensenig, former lead attorney of the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach, opened the Sensenig Law Firm, P.A. in Sarasota.
1997
J. Cater Randolph II, partner with the Palm Beach law firm Mettler, Shelton, Randolph & Marek, has been selected as a member of the board of directors of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Joaquin Ferrao has become senior advisor to U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Roger Noriega and resides in Virginia with his wife and two daughters.
Todd B. Reinstein joined the Washington law firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP as an associate in their tax department.
1998
Bill Ramanos, III published a chapter on e-commerce in the Florida Small Business Practice Manual 2004.
Rick Ellsley, a civil trial attorney with the Ft. Lauderdale firm of Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock Liberman & McKee, is a frequent lecturer and has published articles on trial techniques in personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Fabienne Leconte Fahnestock and her husband, Kyle, celebrated the birth of their first child, Isabella Grace.
1999
Derek Acree, a member of the Florida Bar, joined the law firm of Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce, P.A. as an associate and will be practicing real estate law.
Antony Kolenc was promoted to the rank of major and is teaching undergraduate law classes as an assistant professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.
William R. Schilling has opened his own law firm as a general practitioner in Carolina Beach, NC, a small island just south of Wilmington.
2000
Julie Imanuel Brown is the assistant city attorney for the city of Tampa and is in the process of acquiring several UPS stores in the Tampa Bay area with her husband, Hank.
2001
Loren Fender recently joined the law firm of Rumburger, Kirk, & Caldwell, P.A. as an associate practicing in the areas of insurance defense matters and products liability.
2002
Erin Ackor joined the Miami law firm of Moore and Co. P.A. and will specialize in all aspects of marine and aviation law.
Amanda Arnold completed a clerkship with U.S. District Court Judge Susan C. Buckles, and will begin a clerkship with U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Charles Wilson, 11th Circuit.
2003
S. Allister Fisher joined the law firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A. as an associate practicing in developments of regional impact, land use & zoning, real estate transactions, and development & finance.
Arturo J. Fernandez joined the Miami office of Hunton & Williams and will focus on labor and employment.
Carlo A. Rodriguez joined the law firm of Hunton & Williams in its Miami office and will concentrate on civil litigation, with a focus on petroleum and real estate industry.
Anthony F. Sos has joined the Orlando law firm of Dellecker Wilson
& King, P.A. as an associate after clerking with
the firm in 2000 and 2002.
Steven Gold completed his clerkship with Florida Supreme
Court Justice Charles Wells, and has accepted a position
as a deputy solicitor general.
2004
Nicolas Palmer joined the law firm of Foley & Lardner in its Orlando office as an associate in the business law department and is a member of the real estate practice group.
