Class Gifts

Donate now: Fill out the online form, or print out the pdf form.
Thank you for considering a donation to the 2013 Graduating Class Gift.
We hope the information below will help you make the decision to support your law school as those who came before you have done for you. You are about to join a very distinguished group of alumni. We hope you will be proud to call yourself a UF Law graduate and to tell others that you are already supporting your alma mater so that others can have the same and even better opportunities as you have had.
Still have questions about your gift or pledge?
Where does my gift go?
Your gift goes where you want it to! 100% of your gift goes to the law school and you can even restrict it to a specific student organization if you’d like. Gifts to the annual fund are used at the discretion of the Dean and help enhance the law school experience for everyone. Examples of areas where annual fund dollars have been spent in the past include: Career Services workshops and conferences, bringing international scholars to campus to teach, funding for scholarships and fellowships, and support for co-curricular organizations. We encourage unrestricted giving. It supports the greatest needs of the college and is especially important during the state budget crisis that UF is facing.
What if I can’t afford to give $1,000?
You can give as much or as little as you want. The real goal of the Graduating Class Gift campaign is to achieve 100% participation. While many students are comfortable pledging $1,000 to be paid over a five year period, some are not. Every gift will make a difference to the law school and the important thing is that you give something! If you would like to make a gift under $125, please stop by the Alumni & Development Office to do so.
What if I can’t pay right now?
Good news- you don’t have to! Graduating students are encouraged to sign the pledge form now but you won’t be reminded to pay the first installment until November of 2013.
Why does it matter if I give?
There are many reasons why your gift matters. First and foremost, those who came before you support the law school each year so that you could have the best legal education possible. Now is your chance to do the same for those who will follow after you. Second, the value of your degree will only increase as the Levin College of Law continues to move up in the rankings (also affected by giving) and become an even greater place. So you are really giving back to yourself as much as you are to the law school. And lastly, because without the support of our alumni, the law school could not offer the legal education and unique experience only found at the UF Law School.
