Law Firm Giving Program
Objective
To encourage law firms with multiple University of Florida law graduates to achieve 100% participation in the Annual Fund, demonstrating leadership in supporting UF law students, faculty and programs. The Annual Fund provides for quality, affordable legal education by covering expenses not met with state funds, tuition or endowment income. The Fund supports student research assistantships, student organizations, faculty teaching and scholarship, career services for students and alumni, outreach programs, and much more.
Overview
The program is conducted on a city-by-city basis at firms with multiple offices. Law firms are encouraged to provide matching gifts. There is no minimum contribution, and gifts may be unrestricted to the Annual Fund, or restricted to any academic program or student organization. Dean Robert Jerry asks alumni to consider contributing the equivalent of just “one billable hour” annually.
Note: Payments on active pledges to the law school (ex., Building Campaign, Book Award sponsorships) count toward the 100% participation goal.
Recognition
Each firm that achieves 100% participation will be recognized in law school publications, news releases, and on a display in the Career Services lobby.
