Matching Gifts

*The State of Florida created in the late 1970s two visionary state matching grant programs to match gifts to public universities in Florida. These programs match academic endowment gifts of $100,000 or more and construction or renovation gifts for academic spaces. The University of Florida has benefitted enormously from these programs. Due to the current budget challenges in the state, these programs were not funded this current fiscal year, and we do not anticipate funding this upcoming fiscal year. The UF Foundation continues to certify eligible gifts and they hold a place in the match list queue. The State has fallen behind before but has caught up and fully paid the match for all gifts in the queue.

We are grateful to the many corporations that match employees’ charitable contributions, greatly enhancing the value of their gifts and our academic programs. If your employer will match your gift to UF, please provide the law school with their matching gift form along with your contribution. In addition, private gifts of $100,000 or more are eligible for matching funds from the State of Florida Matching Gifts Trust Fund. Thank you for your support.
