Career Services

Welcome, Alumni!

The Center for Career Services (CCS) is a vital connection for alumni exploring a change of positions or career fields and serves as a link between alumni and students. CCS services available to alumni include: access to Job Postings and Job Banks, Reciprocity Privileges, downloadable career development aids, the Alumni Job Hotline, resume review, individual counseling, and salary information. You also can help us by updating your Job Status, or becoming an Alumni Mentor.

Job Postings

Here, you can access job openings and search for career opportunities anytime and from anywhere. Entry-level and lateral positions are posted in Symplicity. You can use the same password provided to you as a student or you can email careers@law.ufl.edu if you do not have a Symplicity ID and password. After logging in, create your own profile and then click on the job tab to learn more about available positions.

UF Law Alumni Requesting Reciprocity Privileges From Another Law School
UF Law alumni may ask the UF Law Center for Career Services to request reciprocity privileges from another law school that will enable the alumni to gain access to the host school’s job listings.

  • Reciprocity cannot be requested or granted between August 1 and November 15 of each year. The majority of law schools, including UF Law, restrict reciprocity services during this busy on-campus interviewing season.
  • UF Law participates in the Intercollegiate Job Bank (IJB) hosted by Brigham Young University School of Law upon which over eighty different law schools across the nation share alumni postings. Please email careers@law.ufl.edu for the login and password for the IJB to determine whether your schools of interest participate in the IJB. If that school participates, we will be unable to request reciprocity on your behalf.
  • Once you determine that the host law school does not participate in the IJB, send an email to careers@law.ufl.edu with your name, email, date of graduation and the law school(s) in order of preference for which you are seeking reciprocity. The CCS will then send a request to the school on your behalf, providing you with a copy of the request and the school's response.
  • Reciprocity privileges can only be extended to one law school at a time.
  • Be aware that some schools prohibit us from requesting reciprocity for you at more than one law school in any one city and some grant reciprocity requests only on a one-for-one basis.
  • If you have any questions, please contact our Reciprocity Coordinator for more information at: careers@law.ufl.edu.

Job Status Update
The CCS strives to maintain accurate employment statistics for UF Law graduates. This is important not only for required reporting to the American Bar Association and other agencies, but also for students to examine trends in the labor market, and because it maintains and enhances the reputability of your degree. For these reasons, we ask that all alumni, but particularly recent graduates, keep in touch with the CCS, to let us know what your current employment status is. To report your current job status to the Levin College of Law Career Services Center, please use our on-line job status submission form.

Alumni Mentor Program
Administering the Mentor Program is an important function of the CCS. This program matches up willing alumni with current students in an information exchange capacity. Students then have the opportunity to communicate with a UF grad who is working in a field that they may wish to enter or in a geographic area of interest. To become involved as a UF Alumni Mentor and make a difference by helping UF Law students, please complete the Alumni Mentor Form and fax it to (352) 392-0499. For additional information on the program, please contact Assistant Director, Jocelyn Ferguson at fergusonj@law.ufl.edu or at 352-273-0860. Please know that we greatly appreciate the support of our alumni.
