2010 Graduate Employment

As of Feb. 15, 2011, the "placement success rate" for 2010 UF Law graduates was 99 PERCENT. Nationally, this figure was 94 percent, according to the National Association for Law Placement.

For UF Law, the placement success rate consists of 85.4 percentage points employed, 10.7 percentage points in graduate studies and 2.6 percentage points not seeking employment. Another 1 percentage point was unemployed and 0.3 percentage point whose status was unknown. Here is a breakdown* of job types for those who were employed:

A large number of UF Law graduates are accepted into full-time graduate programs after earning their juris doctors. From the Class of 2010, 10.7 percent of the graduates pursued this option, while the national average was only 2.9 percent.

Part of the reason for the high percentage engaged in graduate work is the attraction of UF Law's LL.M. in Taxation program, which is ranked No. 1 among public universities.
