Family Law Pro Se/Unbundling Clinic

Students enrolled in the Pro Se Family Law Clinic give advice and counsel to litigants representing themselves in family court. As Certified Legal Interns, students determine with their clients on an individual basis what services they will provide, ranging from legal advice, assisting with mediation, and court representation.

What is "Unbundling?"

"Unbundling" refers to the breaking-down of the broad range of a lawyer's representation into discreet, individual legal services. By unbundling legal services, pro se litigants receive help with certain legal issues where they are needed.

Legal Assistance

Clients are often referred to the clinic by the court or can apply directly for assistance. Cases are accepted based on income eligibility and complexity.

E-mails and letters from people requesting legal assistance will not be treated as confidential information unless and until the Clinic agrees to accept representation. Please apply for legal assistance by calling the office and speaking directly to a secretary.
