Conservation Clinic
Fees & Expenses
The course fee is $2500 for University of Florida students and other Florida residents, and $3000 for all others. Student financial aid may cover a substantial portion of the cost. E-Law Fellowships are available for participants from Latin America and the Caribbean. Contact Lori Maddox at E-Law (lori@elaw.org).
The details of associated costs, like books and materials, transportation, housing, and personal costs, are listed in the budget.
Housing is a student's responsibility. Please make such arrangements immediately upon acceptance. A Home Stay program coordinated through the University of Costa Rica is offered, and meals are included. Students with physical disabilities or seeking special accommodations should notify Michelle Ocepek at once. UF will attempt to make reasonable arrangements, where possible.
Travel to Costa Rica is the responsibility of students. All participants must have passports.
Liability and health insurance are the responsibility of each participant. The University of Florida will not be responsible for personal injuries to students or for loss or damage to personal property within or in transit to Costa Rica. UF strongly advises students to obtain insurance that provides reimbursement for health care abroad, and recommends purchase of travel insurance. Major medical health insurance must be carried by all participants.
