Gabriella Stocks
Gabriella (Gaby) Stocks is a Ph.D. candidate in anthropology at the University of Florida. Since June 2008, she has been living in the community of Nuevo Arenal, Costa Rica, where she is conducting her dissertation research on the long-term effects of dam-induced displacement and resettlement. Gabriela Stocks received an M.A. in anthropology from the University of Florida in 2007, for which she conducted research on local systems of water resource use and management in the Bolivian Amazon. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, Gaby worked in the policy arm of a domestic non-profit organization, River Network, where she provided workshops and information to citizen groups on how to use the Federal Clean Water Act at the local level.
