City of Gainesville Green Building Program Design Project In the Spring of 2001 a Clinic team of joint MBA-Law students initiated a project with the City of Gainesville's Department of Community Development to develop a green building program for the City of Gainesville. The Clinic team conducted a stakeholder workshop that brought together more than 40 representatives from the construction and real estate sector, green building advocacy entities, local utilities, and City government. The workshop suggested there was ample private and public sector interest in an incentive-based green building program to justify moving forward with a Program in Gainesville.
