Town of Marineland Land Development Code Review

In Spring 2003, The Town of Marineland retained the Conservation Clinic to conduct a review of the Town Land Development Code. The Conservation Clinic project team, Nicole Kibert and Eleftheria Zachariades, reviewed the 44 existing ordinances, including the Town of Marineland's existing Land Use and Zoning Ordinances. These ordinances have been organized and digitally indexed for accessibility. We also reviewed the land development codes for selected communities based on their similarity to Marineland's vision of sustainable community development. Based on this research, the Conservation Clinic has identified certain ordinances that are "missing" from the existing Town of Marineland ordinances and that would enhance the Town's efforts to distinguish itself as a model of sustainability.
