Timeline


The school will maintain a close-to-normal schedule for Fall 2003/Spring 2004 classes. Details - subject to change as needed - are as follows:

  • Fall 2003/Spring 2004: Steel structure for new classroom buildings erected in November. Third-floor library closes in December, and offices are built there for "swing space" during construction. 297 Holland Hall becomes unavailable in January. Over Spring Break and continuing through spring semester, the cafeteria closes, student lockers move to Bruton-Geer Hall, the library moves off-site, a computer server room is built in the second-floor library, loading/receiving moves to the cafeteria serving area and the bookstore closes (April 22). Spring exams are given on main campus. Holland Hall classrooms are demolished and library renovations begin in May, and journals move to the cafeteria.
  • Summer/Fall 2004: Summer classes are taught on main UF campus. Student Affairs and Admissions offices move to journal area in Bruton-Geer Hall; Dean's Office moves to third-floor library in Holland Hall. In August, Law Review, Trial Team and Moot Court return to Holland Hall. New classrooms are completed for use in the fall.
  • Spring/Fall 2005: Beginning in March, Holland Hall renovations are completed, journals still in the cafeteria move into offices in the former media center area, the library and Development & Alumni Affairs Office return, and Computing Services moves to third floor Holland Hall. Bookstore and cafeteria return in the fall. Construction is complete.
