LL.M. Degree Requirements

The LL.M. degree is awarded upon completion of 26 credit hours of coursework with a B average that includes completion of the required courses listed below and the written project. 

REQUIRED COURSES

* These requirements will be waived for students whom the LL.M. Program Director determines have completed substantially comparable coursework in their J.D. Program

WRITTEN PROJECT

Each candidate for the LL.M. degree must complete a substantial written project of publishable quality in conjunction with a seminar or the Conservation Clinic, approved by an authorized faculty member.

ELECTIVE COURSES

Each candidate for the LL.M. degree will design an individualized course of study with the LL.M. Director.  The following law school courses are approved electives.  Other courses may qualify as electives with the Director's approval.
