Community Law (3 credits)
Considers the Institutional ("constitutional") law of the European Union, its legislative processes and methods of judicial review; relationships between EU law and national laws of the 15 Member States, and law and policy of the internal market. This may include some or all of such topics as free movement of goods, persons, services, and capital, Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), competition (antitrust) policy, external relations of the EU with other nations, environmental law, intellectual property, and equal rights for women. Prior experience with public international trade law may be beneficial, but is not necessary.
