Key players in Florida’s 2000 Presidential Election were on hand Feb. 26, to revisit strategies in the protracted race. Students and faculty from the sponsoring entities — UF’s colleges of Law, Journalism and Liberal Arts & Sciences, the Department of Political Science and Office of Research and Graduate Programs — participated in and viewed the daylong conference, with some of the morning session overflow crowd (left below) viewing proceedings outside Holland Hall. Thanks to efforts by WUFTTV, the conference was Webcast nationally, with edited portions to be shown at later dates on public broadcast stations. Representatives of Associated Press, Chronicle of Higher Education, CNN and multiple print and broadcast media covered the event, coordinated by Interim Dean Jon Mills.
