Assistant Professor Mark Thurmon was named Chair for two years of the Internet and Cyberspace Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Lidsky Named UF Research Foundation Professor

Professor Lyrissa Lidsky is among 32 UF faculty named Research Foundation Professors for 2001-2004. The honor is bestowed upon faculty “with a distinguished record of research and a strong research agenda expected to lead to continuing distinction in their fields.” Lidsky’s areas of expertise include Internet Law, Torts, Mass Media Law, Jurisprudence and Professionalism. She recently co-authored, with law student Michael Pike, an article, “Cybergossip or Securities Fraud? Some First Amendment Guidance in Drawing the Line,” published in Wallstreetlawyer.com.
