McMahon published Federal Income Taxation of Individuals,Third Edition (Warren Gorham &amp; Lamont, 2002) with Boris I. Bittker &amp; Lawrence A. Zelenak) a 1,900-page treatise. He also published 2002 revised editions of the Study Problems and Teachers’ Manual for three books:</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Partnerships and S Corporations, Third Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons, Foundation Press, 1999),</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Corporations, Second Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons) and</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Business Organizations, Third Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons, Foundation Press, 1999).</p>
<p>In addition, he published 2002 Annual Supplements for four books:</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation, Cases and Materials, Fourth Edition (with P. McDaniel, H. Ault &amp; D. Simmons, Foundation Press, 1998),</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Partnerships and S Corporations, Third Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons, Foundation Press, 1999),</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Corporations, Second Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons) and</p>
<p>• Federal Income Taxation of Business Organizations, Third Edition (with P. McDaniel &amp; D. Simmons, Foundation Press, 1999).</p>
<p>He also spoke on “Recent Developments in Federal Income Taxation” at the University of Virginia School of Law, 54th Annual Virginia Conference on Federal Taxation, Charlottesville, Virginia June 6, completed his two-year term as chair of the Committee on Teaching Taxation of the ABA Tax Section, and was appointed to the ABA Tax Section Committee on Committees.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Center on Children and the Law Director/Levin Chair in Family Law Barbara Bennett Woodhouse’s essay, “Making Poor Mothers Fungible: The Privatization of Foster Care,” is published in a new book, Child Care &amp; Inequality: Rethinking Carework for Children &amp; Youth. Woodhouse and Center on Children and the Law Associate Director/Gator TeamChild Supervising Attorney Claudia Wright recently returned from Oslo, Norway, where they presented a panel at the 10th World Conference of the International Society of Family Law, describing the work of the center. Woodhouse also was re-elected to a threeyear term on the society’s executive council.</p>
