Nancy Dowd, Chesterfield Smith Professor of Law and Interim Director of the Center for Children and Families
Professor Dowd will discuss implications of our society’s rapidly changing family configurations, including changes in the roles of fathers, and how these developments challenge many family law norms and rules.

"The Legal Legacy of Anna Nicole Smith"
Lee-ford Tritt, Assistant Professor and Director of the Camp Center for Estate Planning
The death of Anna Nicole Smith generated widespread media and public interest; in fact, our speaker on this topic was quoted in, among other venues, the New York Times. Professor Tritt will share his thoughts on the legal issues surrounding Ms. Smith’s death and the legal procedures which ensued.

"Rails to Trails Conversions: How Can Something So Simple Be So Complicated?"
Danaya Wright, Professor of Law and University of Florida Research Foundation Professor
Professor Wright, a leading expert on rails-to-trails conversions, will address the legal issues arising when obsolete railroad beds are converted (or sought to be converted) to trails for recreational use (such as biking and hiking).
