PIEC 2009 Eco-Run 5K Fun Run/Walk

Eco-RunThe Eco-Run 5K, benefiting the 2009 Public Interest Environmental Conference, will be held Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. The run starts at Levin College of Law parking lot. Registration is $15 and the first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt. For a registration form, e-mail 2009piececorun@gmail.com

This fun run benefits the 15th Annual Public Interest Environmental Conference, which will take place Feb. 26-28, 2009. Typically, about 200 runners participate in the fundraiser, and the funding we receive helps bring more speakers and fund events for the conference.

The University of Florida Levin College of Law's Fifteenth Annual Public Interest Environmental Conference focuses on legal, scientific, and policy solutions to Florida's environmental challenges, a reflection of the environmental challenges confronting the world.

Since its inception in 1994, this student-organized conference has attracted top practitioners, legal scholars and scientists from around the state and beyond to discuss Florida's most pressing environmental issues. Now in its fifteenth year, the PIEC has enjoyed a continual increase in reputation, attendance and popularity.

Don't forget to turn in your $15 donation with your registration form! Registration forms can be turned into the Center for Governmental Responsibility, which is located on the second floor of the law school, two doors away from the Career Resource Center. The registration form is also located online at http://www.floridatrackclub.org/racecal.html.
