General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Section of The Florida Bar Seeking Applicants for Student Member of the Executive Committee
The Florida Bar General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Section is seeking applications from 2Ls to serve on their executive board. Candidates must be 2Ls, be members or be willing to become members of the section, be willing to travel and attend the section’s meetings, and be committed to connecting law students in Florida with the state’s small firm employers.
The purpose of the GPSSF is to enhance the skills of both the lawyer in general practice and the lawyer who has interests beyond the boundaries of a single professional specialty, by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information essential to improvement of the lawyer’s quality of legal service. For more information about the section, consult www.gpssf.org.
To apply for the executive committee, send your resume and statement of interest by Oct. 31 to career1@ufl.edu. Your statement of interest, no longer than two pages long, should address why you would be an appropriate law school representative to the section and express ideas you might have about connecting law students with section members.
