The first week of the five week program, which runs from June 23 to July 25, will be spent in Paris, while the last four weeks will be at the University of Montpellier in Montpellier. Courses offered will include Comparative Criminal Procedure, Comparative Regulation of Hostile Takeovers, and European Union Business Law. In 2007, 30 students from UF were enrolled in the program. In addition, a number of students from the University of Montpellier were enrolled in one or more classes. An informational meeting on the Summer 08 Law Program in France will be held at noon Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Holland Hall 355B. Students studying in the program benefit from a dual focus on comparative and international law. American and French professors examine United States and French legal systems and European community law. Both French and American students also meet with members of the judiciary and the legal profession. In addition, the program allows you to live in and enjoy the rich French culture.
