Published an op-ed on racial hoaxes signaling our racial fears. "Not burdened by logic, hoaxes don't have to make sense; they just have to feel like they could make sense. Hoaxes may be equal parts credible and ridiculous," wrote Russell-Brown. Professor Russell-Brown's book, The Color of Crime, 2d edition (2009, NYU Press) features a chapter on racial hoaxes.
