  • Awarded a U.S. Speaker and Specialist Grant from the U.S. Department of State's Office of International Information Programs to participate in rule of law programs in Montevideo, Uruguay, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, from Dec. 6-16. He will be offering lectures and consulting with members of the legal community in both countries.

  • Orlando Sentinel Op-ed, Nov. 9, 2008
    Published an op-ed on racial hoaxes signaling our racial fears. "Not burdened by logic, hoaxes don't have to make sense; they just have to feel like they could make sense. Hoaxes may be equal parts credible and ridiculous," wrote Russell-Brown. Professor Russell-Brown's book, The Color of Crime, 2d edition (2009, NYU Press) features a chapter on racial hoaxes.
