Winter Break Networking Opportunities

ChicagoSweet Home Chicago
The Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms hosts an annual event primarily for 1Ls (but all students are invited) entitled Sweet Home Chicago. The purpose of this event is two-fold: 1) to circulate the resumes of racially and ethnically diverse law students attending the event to the hiring committees of the 46 largest and most prestigious law firms in Chicago; and 2) to provide an opportunity for law students from across the country to meet partners and associates from these firms. Last year there were over 250 attendees, and many students made significant connections with lawyers in Chicago.

This year, Sweet Home Chicago is taking place on Thursday, Dec. 27, 5:30-8 p.m., at Winston & Strawn, 35 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois, 60601. Students should RSVP for the event and send a one-page (more than one page will not be included in the book) resume by Friday, Dec. 7, to Christina Harris at charris@chicagocommittee.org. Only students attending the event are invited to submit a resume for the Sweet Home Chicago Resume Book.
