GATOR NIGHTS AT THE REITZ UNION

http://www.union.ufl.edu/gatornights/ is the leading late night program in the Southeast and takes place every Friday night during the fall, spring, and summer B semesters in the Reitz Union on the University of Florida campus. The program offers free first run movies, bands, comedians, improv shows, arts and crafts, novelties, interactive games, cultural events, interactive lectures, dances, DJ's, artists, video game tournaments, popcorn and soda, and most importantly free midnight breakfast! You must be a UF student to attend and you need your Gator 1 card to get in but each UF student can bring one guest.

THE HIPPODROME STATE THEATRE

The Hippodrome State Theatre (The Hipp) is a regional theatre in Gainesville that has produced more than one hundred world, American and Southeastern premieres in its 25 year history. Acclaimed playwrights such as Tennessee Williams, Eric Bentley, Paula Vogel, Lee Breuer, Adrian Mitchell and Mario Vargas Llosa have developed new works on the Hippodrome stage.
In addition to its mainstage season, the Hippodrome screens first-run foreign, limited-release and avant-garde films. The Hippodrome Cinema Series has 1,000 members, 20,000 patrons and more than 700 screenings per year. The Hippodrome also houses an art gallery where patrons can view local artists while waiting for the shows to begin.
UF students are eligible for discounted student tickets for mainstage performances for $12 and $5 for cinema tickets with a valid student ID card. (Normally ticket prices range from $25-30).

PHILIPS CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
Each season, the University of Florida Performing Arts presents the very best established and emerging national and international artists on the Phillips Center main stage.
In 2000, retired Jacksonville surgeon Dr. Curtis M. Phillips provided The Barbara J. and Curtis M. Phillips M.D. Endowment Fund to name the performing arts center. Since opening its doors in January 1992 with three sold-out performances of CATS, the Phillips Center has hosted a diverse program schedule to appeal to all audiences. The Phillips Center is located just off of Hull Road on the University of Florida Campus
There is a set amount of seats allocated to student tickets in each seating level throughout the theatre, for each performance. For the 2009-10 Season, UF Student Tickets will be $10 (Plus applicable tax. Final purchase price is $10.50*).
