General Information
Access
The University of Florida Legal Information Center in Holland Hall is open to the public. Please check our hours pages for specific dates and times.
Only UF students, faculty and staff have borrowing privileges, but any member of the public may use the resources in the library. The library has eleven public access computers. Members of the public may apply at any service desk for a free guest account to use the computers and access online resources.
Reference librarians will direct patrons to legal resources but cannot give legal advice. Consult our reference policy for additional information. Contact the Florida Bar or use the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory to find practicing attorneys in your area.
Members of the Florida Bar may apply for Legal Information Center borrowing privileges by calling (352)273-0724 or by visiting the Circulation Desk (8 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F) to complete an application. A photocopy of your driver's license and Florida Bar card is required. Lexis and Westlaw access is not provided.
Copiers
Photocopiers are provided at a cost of $0.10 per page, charged to the vending account on the Gator 1 Card. Patrons who are not current UF students, faculty, or staff may obtain a guest card from the Circulation Desk and create a vending account. Establishing a vending account requires an initial deposit of $15.00 and must be done online with a credit card. Information about the vending account can be found at the Campus Vending Services web site. Step-by-step instructions for adding money to an account can be found at the Smathers Libraries Printing/Copying web site.
Parking
Parking is restricted in areas near the law school Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30 p.m. UF Transportation & Parking Services has information about visitor parking.
