::Case Study - Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P.

Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell & Hickman, L.L.P. is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. The firm's 100+ attorneys provide legal services in a variety of areas throughout the Carolinas. The firm requested consulting services to conduct an automation audit on the installed computer system. The firm's core computing environment consisted of a Windows 3x-based system, a Token Ring network, WordPerfect and SoftSolutions. The firm was experiencing a problem with system and network downtime and requested assistance in troubleshooting and providing direction and guidance for upgrading to a more stable computing and network environment.

LTI worked with the firm's Information System Department, helping to isolate the problems with the network. LTI also provided recommendations and advice to the Technology Committee, in addition to cost estimates for upgrading the firm's computer system to stablize the system. With LTI's assistance, the firm also selected another systems integrator to provide the necessary transition and integration services.
