The Legal Technology Institute provides Research Services to assist the legal profession in determining and understanding current market trends in legal technology uses and purchases. LTI conducts market research in a variety of scenarios, including nationwide legal industry surveys to determine market decision drivers, issues, and cost factors; focussed surveys for an individual company, law firm, or association; and, legal industry White Papers.

Legal Research Center, Inc. Knowledge Management Study:
An In-Depth Look into its Current Use and Future Trends in the Legal Profession.
The Legal Technology Institute, in conjunction with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Legal Research Center, Inc., conducted the first ever legal industry survey on Knowledge Management. 30,000 survey questionnaires were mailed to a random sampling of legal professionals (attorneys, counsel, solicitors, administrators, IT, and librarians) in mid-size and large firms, corporate and government law departments in the United States and the United Kingdom. Results of the study were published in Spring 2003 in two separate reports: KM in Law Departments and KM in Law Firms.

- ACCA-ELF Technologies,
Inc. 2001 Partnering Survey of Outside Counsel
The Legal Technology Institute conducted the 2001 ACC-ELF Partnering Survey of Outside Counsel. The eight page, 66 question survey was mailed to 12,695 ACCA members in 2Q 2001. Returned survey questionnaires were entered into a customized database, developed by LTI, for evaluation and analysis. Results of the Final Report are available, directly from ACCA. (www.acca.com).

The Legal Technology Institute, in conjuction with iManage, Inc. conducted the first ever legal industry survey on ASPs. The Executive Summary, Questionnaire, and Sample Charts are online for free.
