About the Legal Technology Institute

The Legal Technology Institute (LTI) at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law was established in the Fall of 1997.  LTI’s mission is “To provide an innovative forum for making a positive impact and improving technology in the legal profession.” The Institute provides independent legal technology consulting services, Internet Web design and development services, training specific to the legal profession, and market research services.

In addition to Technology Consulting and Internet Web Site Development Services, the Institute is very active in legal technology-related projects, with a mission to provide the legal profession with current, accurate, and up-do-date information and resources on legal technology projects.

The International Center for Automated Information Research (ICAIR) was established in June of 1998 at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law. ICAIR’s mission is to provide  grants to institutions and individuals proposing innovative research and development in the areas of information research for the legal and business professions. ICAIR also provides the funding for the prestigious Dixon conference. The Dixon Conference 2000 will be held February 17-19, 2000 in Orlando Florida with a focus on Electronic Filing and Electronic Commerce.
