Law School Library to be Temporarily Relocated
GAINESVILLE,
Fla. - Because of the $22+ million expansion project now
underway at the University of Florida Levin College of Law,
plans are being finalized to relocate the law school legal
information center to the site of a former grocery store
in Butler Plaza on Archer Road.

Progress on a major effort begun here in1994 at the Summit
of the Americas, establishment of a single free trade area
of the Americas, will be discussed at a local town hall

Law School Officials Cite Chesterfield Smith as ‘Giant’
in Legal Profession, Success of College

College of Law mourned the loss Wednesday of Chesterfield
Smith, 1948 with honors law school graduate and an international
legal profession leader who they say “contributed
tremendously not only to his profession but to the success
and vision of this law school.”

Conservation Clinic Research: Wild Cats Threaten Endangered
Species Nationwide
With 4-to-6 million
unwanted animals - mostly cats - put to sleep each year
in the United States, some people might consider it more
humane to free the felines into the wild. But as these cats
forage for food and establish their territories, they kill
more than a billion small mammals and birds each year, many
of which are threatened or endangered, a University of Florida
study shows.
