of Proposed Amendments to Florida Constitution Available Online

at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, under the
direction of former Florida Supreme Court Justice Ben F. Overton,
has prepared an analysis of the six proposed amendments to the
state’s constitution, and made the results of their work

Helps Spur Congress to Protect Military Families from Predatory
Lenders

by a University of Florida law professor recently helped spur
the U.S. Congress to pass legislation protecting military families
from predatory lenders who charge interest rates that can reach

Levin College of Law Professor Dennis A. Calfee recently was
awarded one of Taiwan’s most prestigious honors, the Public
Finance Specialty Medal, for helping over the past 20 years
to develop public finance in the Republic of China and train

Expert in Law and Psychiatry Available for Comment on Yates
Murder Retrial
GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- Andrea Yates
should be committed, not convicted of murder, for the deaths
of her five children, according to University of Florida Levin
College of Law Professor Christopher Slobogin. Yates will be
retried June 26, five years and six days after she drowned her
five children in the family bathtub. The Houston homemaker's
2002 murder conviction was overturned, and she is again pleading
not guilty by reason of insanity. more>>
