U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas visited the Levin College of Law on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 3-4. The focus of his visit was interacting with and meeting students, including a “conversation” as the Marshall Criser Distinguished Lecture on Feb. 4, in the Marcia Whitney Schott Courtyard.

The Distinguished Lecture series is named after UF law graduate and former UF President Marshall M. Criser, and was established with a gift from Criser’s friend and fellow law alumnus, Lewis Schott. The inaugural lecture of this permanent lecture series took place November of 2008 and featured U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice John Paul Stevens and U.S. District Court Judge Jose A. Gonzalez Jr.

He was the fifth Supreme Court Justice to visit the Gainesville campus in five years.
