Reginald Garcia will present a talk on a host of clemency topics, including why clemency matters to a lawyer’s clients, who can benefit from clemency, full pardon, which includes RCRS and firearm authority, and commutation of state prison sentence. Garcia is a clemency attorney and Tallahassee lobbyist. During the last 18 years, Garcia has argued clemency cases before four governors.

The annual program, sponsored by the UF Law Center on Children and Families and the Criminal Justice Center, will host the Pace Center for Girls – Alachua at the law school. Each year, the Youth Summit informs young people about rights, responsibilities and consequences of their actions.
