GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Pulitzer Prize winner and former New York Times reporter David Cay Johnston will deliver the lecture, “How Our 20th Century Tax System is Making Us Poorer” at the University of Florida Levin College of Law’s Grad Tax Speaker Series.

Johnston was the tax reporter for The New York Times from 1995 through 2008, winning the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for beat reporting related to his work on tax loopholes and inequities. Johnston is known for breaking down complex tax issues into terms laymen can easily grasp.

Johnston is currently a distinguished visiting lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law and a columnist and television commentator for Reuters on tax policy issues.
