UF Law students are among the best in the nation. The UF law school draws students of all ages from across the nation and world who have first-rate qualifications, varied backgrounds and diverse life experiences. Every effort is made to enroll men and women who will contribute valuable dialogue in an increasingly global world and bring diversity to the legal profession.

In the average entering class, students come from more than 90 different colleges and universities throughout the country and abroad contributing to the Diversity at UF Law.

Weeks Of Welcome (WOW)

WOW! is a campus-wide series of events designed to welcome both new first-year, transfer and graduate students to UF, as well as to welcome back returning students. Offices, departments, and organizations across campus submit events to the WOW! calendar. The calendar of events spans the first few weeks of the Summer B and Fall semesters. It provides a variety of options for new students from which they may choose. Programs of personal interest; skills and involvement; social events; and activities planned by academic units, student service departments and student organizations are represented during WOW!

Student Health Information

The University of Florida Student Health Care Center (SHCC)
The Student Health Care Center is an outpatient clinic which provides primary medical and psychological care as well as a variety of other specialty services. The SHCC is funded solely by UF students. SHCC is an accredited, general practice, outpatient clinic staffed by board certified physicians, assistants, registered nurses, advanced registered nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, health educators, licensed pharmacists, licensed laboratory technologists, licensed x-ray technicians, a gynecologist, a consultant radiologist, a dietitian, and support personnel. Also a branch of SHCC is located in Corry Village, a university apartment complex near the law school. All registered UF students are eligible for SHCC services. The per-credit-hour fee, paid by all students, covers unlimited consultations with SHCC staff. However, minimal service charges are assessed for accident/injury care, lab tests, medication, x-rays, certain special services, and consultations with on-staff specialists. Office of Veterans Affairs

The Office of Veterans Affairs is located in 222 Criser Hall. You may contact John Gephardt at 392-1374. The office personnel provide general information relevant to students who are military veterans. Questions about your status as a veteran, eligibility for services after a change of academic programs, or how modification of dependents may affect your benefits can be addressed to this office.

Arranging Disability Accomodations

Students with disabilities who seek accommodations are required to self-identify. The first step in receiving accommodations is for you to register with the ADA office in 205 Peabody Hall, (352) 392-1261 (voice) or 392-3008 (TDD). If you were registered with the ADA office as a University of Florida undergraduate, you must re-register to receive accommodations for law school. Accommodations are provided on an individual basis and are coordinated at the College by the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs. Please see, Assistant Dean if you anticipate needing accommodations. Working While In Law School

As a full-time law school, the Levin College of Law adheres to American Bar Association policy requiring students to devote all of their working hours to the study of law. Academic schedules and minimum load requirements are designed to reflect this policy. First-year students are prohibited from employment. Other students may not be employed more than 20 hours per week. Please see Academic Policies for further information.
