Application Instructions

NOTE: Applicants must apply between September 1 and April 30 for admission the following July. The Comparative Law Program begins with the Summer B session. You may apply online to the Graduate Admissions Office, but you must also print and mail a second copy along with supporting materials to the Comparative Law Program, University of Florida, Levin College of Law, P.O. Box 117643, Gainesville, FL 32611-7643.

Listed below are two options for applying to the LL.M. in Comparative Law Program.

Preferred Method

Apply online: This link will bring you to the Web site for the Office of Admissions at the University of Florida. It would be useful to have copies of your transcripts when filling out this form.

  1. Click on "Graduate," select "Create new user account."
  2. Begin to fill out the online application.
  3. When asked to "Select Degree," seletc the category "Master's Degree."
  4. When asked to "Select a Program of Study," scroll down to "Law" and choose "Comparative Law."
  5. When choosing which semester to apply for, choose Summer B.
  6. Continue to complete the online application.

Please send all supporting materials to the Comparative Law Program, University of Florida, Levin College of Law, P.O. Box 117643, Gainesville, FL 32611-7643.

Application Deadline

Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Admission decisions will begin to be made, on a rolling basis, in January. While the LL.M. in Comparative Law Program has no absolute deadline for applications, no guarantee of consideration is possible for applications that have not been completed by April 30.
