Message from the Director
Pedro A. Malavet
Director, LL.M. in Comparative Law Program & Professor
of Law
The LL.M. in Comparative Law Program at the University of Florida
Levin College of Law is designed for foreign law school
graduates who want to hone their legal skills, gain detailed
knowledge in fields of United States law of special interest
to them, and experience living and studying in a community
uniquely suited for academic pursuits. Our rich curriculum,
certificate programs, and diverse, world-renowned faculty
of more than 60 professors provide students enrolled in
our program with the opportunity to create their own individualized
course of study to earn their degree.
We are very selective in admitting students to our program. Students who are admitted have excellent credentials, having graduated near the top of their class from some of the best law schools around the world. We usually enroll fewer than twenty students each year. As a result, the students are able to interact extensively with each other, and, as the director, I am able to personally devote time and attention to each and every student.
Thank you for your interest in the University of Florida LL.M. in Comparative Law Program. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
