Creating desktop shortcut icons for Zenworks Applications

To create shortcuts from the Network Applications menu on your desktop:

a) Right click on the Start button and choose Explore.

b) On the left side of the Windows Explorer window, click on the [+] sign next to "Network Applications".

c) On the left side of the Windows Explorer, click on the folder that contains the icon that you want to put on your desktop.

d) Click on the icon that you want to copy once to highlight it. Right click on it and choose "Copy" from the menu that appears.

e) Minimize the Windows Explorer to get it out of the way. Place your mouse cursor where you want the icon to appear, then right click and choose "Paste".

f) Repeat the process for the other icons that you want on your desktop.

g) When you've finished moving the icons out to your desktop, go to the lower right corner (next to the clock) and find the symbol called "Application Explorer". It looks like a square gray box with a red stripe along the top, and a white diamond in the middle.

h) Right click on this symbol and choose "Refresh". Do this again (to make sure that the settings are saved).

Note: If you don't do step H, the icons will not be retained when you log out or restart the computer.
