Student Organizations Questions
Q. What is the best way to get involved with student organizations on campus?
A. When they do “tabling” in the courtyard you can visit their tables or go to the student organizations page to find out about organizations available to you.
Q. How/when can I join organizations at UF Law?
A. It depends on the organization and your preferred level of involvement. The best way to see if you like an organization is to attend a meeting and talk to other students in the organization. Student organization meetings and events are advertised through the UF Law Student Activities listserv, which 1Ls will automatically be added to.
There will also be a Student Organization Fair this fall. If you express interest in a student organization through ILSP registration, your contact information will be shared with the student leaders of the group(s).
Q. Should I join law school organizations during my first year?
A. It is up to you. It is a great way to meet people and get involved, but it depends on your work load and what you feel you can handle. Some students feel they need that time for studying instead.
