Summer Law Program in Paris & Montpellier, France
June 23-July 25, 2008
Recognizing the importance of providing students with an education that transcends boundaries, the University of Florida Levin College of Law jointly sponsors a summer program with the University of Montpellier Faculty of Law. During the 2007 summer, 30 students from the University of Florida were enrolled in the program. In addition, a number of students from the University of Montpellier were enrolled in one or more classes. The program is approved by the American Bar Association.
Students studying in Montpellier benefit from a dual focus on comparative and international law. American and French professors examine United States and French legal systems and European community law. In addition, the Florida/Montpellier program allows you to live in and enjoy a rich culture. The first week of the program will be spent in Paris, while the last four weeks will be at the University of Montpellier. Mornings and early afternoons are devoted to law classes, conducted in English. Both French and American students also meet with members of the judiciary and the legal profession.
