The 2nd Annual Tax Policy Lecture set for September 30th
Gainesville, Florida - The 2nd annual Ellen Bellet Gelberg Tax Policy Lecture will be held Friday, September 30th at the University of Florida Levin College Of Law at 10:30AM in the Chesterfield Smith Ceremonial Classroom, Holland Hall 180. The lecture, A Conversation on Tax Policy will be presented by Abraham Hap Shashy, Jr., Eric Solomon, and Lindy Paull all of Washington, D.C. Hap Shashy is the managing partner of the Washington, D.C. office of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP and chair of its Policy Committee. Eric Solomon, who is the current director of Ernst & Young LLP's National Tax Department, also served as Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy at the U.S. Treasury Department and Lindy Paull, currently the co-managing partner of PriceWaterHouse Coopers' Washington National Tax Services practice, served as chief of staff of the U.S. Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation.
Ellen Bellet Gelberg graduated from the University of Florida School of Law (J.D. with honors in 1976, LL.M in taxation 1977). She is a member of the Tax Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar. She established the Tax Policy Lecture Series at the Levin College of Law and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Florida School of Law.
