Dekle’s quote commented on murder investigations and conviction cases in which the body has not been found, as was the case with the high-profile missing child case of Caylee Anthony, a 2-yr-old Orlando, Fla. girl who’s mother, Casey Anthony, has been charged with her murder. The body of a child matching that of Caylee Anthony has since been discovered on Dec. 11, and the autopsy results confirming the remains as those of Caylee were announced on Dec. 16, 2008.
