Welcome to UF Law! We look forward to your arrival for the fall term. Below are several items that must be completed in the interim to ensure your enrollment goes smoothly!
ALL applicants must submit the Florida Residency Declaration for tuition purposes. You should have received an email from the University Admissions office shortly after you applied, with instructions for completing the form. Documentation required to support a claim of Florida residency may be submitted through UF secure document upload (document type is Administrative).
Please note that the Levin College of Law does not have jurisdiction over residency matters. All decisions on residency are made by the University’s Graduate Admissions Office in accordance with Florida State Statute, 1009.21. The University’s Graduate Admissions Office may request additional supporting documentation to verify residency classification for tuition purposes. Applicants with concerns or questions may contact the UF Graduate Admissions Office directly at (352) 392-1365.
Official Final Transcript
All incoming students must submit through LSAC an official final transcript showing the conferral date of a Bachelor’s degree. This should be done as soon as the transcript is available, and it must be received by UF Law prior to August, 2020 matriculation (*please note, processing could take up to two weeks*). If you submitted a final transcript earlier in the admissions cycle and it includes the degree conferral date, it is not necessary to repeat the process.
Important: If you are completing your Bachelor’s degree during the Summer 2020 term, please email us at email@example.com, and include “Summer 2020 graduation” in the subject.
Students may also provide graduate or professional school transcripts, plus any transcripts showing credits transferred towards undergraduate degrees, if applicable. These additional transcripts, while not required, will be added to your UF record should you provide them.
All entering students are required to purchase the University’s Student Health Insurance Plan unless proof of comparable coverage is provided. Students are required to show proof of adequate health insurance as a condition of enrollment. More information, including insurance coverage guidelines, frequently asked questions, and how to submit one’s insurance information can be found at http://studentinsurance.shcc.ufl.edu.
Proof of Immunization
All new students are required by the University to show proof of immunization prior to registering for classes, in compliance with Florida Statute (1006.69) and Florida Administrative Code (6C-6.001-5). Students will not be allowed to register without proof of immunization.
A Mandatory Immunization Health History Form must be filed with the University’s Student Health Care Center prior to registration* ** (submission instructions are found at the bottom of the form). The University of Florida will accept State of Florida immunization records issued by local health departments and doctor’s offices. For additional information, or to download the immunization form, please visit UF Health Compliance Office.
*If completing the required immunization form is not possible, an immunization record from the student’s previous public or private US university can be submitted. (Conditions apply; see Basic Instructions #3)
**If you are a recent UF graduate, it is likely your immunization record is already on file. You may check for an immunization hold at http://one.uf.edu (see Basic Instructions #4 for further information or to contact the Compliance Office).
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is a mandatory program – dates TBD – August, 2020 – that introduces new law students to our law school and community. In early summer, the Office of Student Affairs will email details regarding orientation registration, agenda, etc.
