Why You Chose UF Law:  Because four years at the University of Florida was not enough!  Additionally, the Levin College of Law has a vast alumni network, and is of course associated with the greater Gator Nation.  UF Law’s heritage and prestige are unmatched in the state.  Florida has a dense population of law schools, and competition for legal jobs is fierce.  It is imperative to attend a law school like UF’s where graduates have an edge on the competition.

Favorite Thing about UF Law:  UF Law ensures that students have a diverse and exciting life both in and outside of the classroom.  Professors from all over the country bring unique insight.  My favorite memories occurred during the annual luncheons such as the Glasser BBQs and Diversity Day lunches.  These events allow the student body and faculty to socialize and let loose while enjoying delicious food on UF Law’s beautiful campus.

Why Someone Should Apply to UF Law:  UF Law has newly renovated classrooms, facilities, and a library that is unrivaled in the State of Florida.  Its large and diverse student population offers opportunities to build an expansive group of friends.  The law school treats every student as an individual, and works hard to ensure that career opportunities are available to those who attend.

Advice for Incoming Law Students:  Apart from the obvious, such as keeping up with readings and assignments, a major aspect of law school is to begin building a professional career.  Being active from the get-go by meeting as many people as possible through groups and clubs is a fantastic way to set the stage for a successful three years of law school and ultimately your career.  After graduation, classmates won’t simply be friends, but those who work alongside you in your legal career.  Additionally, reaching out to professors is an excellent way to ensure material is understood.  It also lends the opportunity to create a connection that can lead to semester or summer job opportunity.
