Governor Rick Scott Appoints Fifteen UF Law Alumni to Judicial Nominating Commissions

On July 17, 2018, Florida Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments and reappointments of many legal professionals to Florida’s Judicial Nominating Commissions. Below is a complete listing of UF Law alumni who were among those selected.

 

 

 

  • Mohammad O. Jazil (JD 09) was appointed to the First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Mark Miller (JD 96)  was appointed to the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Andy Bardos (JD 04, LLMT 05) was appointed to the Fifth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • John J. Joyce (JD 11) was appointed to the Third Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Courtney K. Grimm (JD 92) was appointed to the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Helen Peacock Roberson (JD 05) was appointed to the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Charles K. Ruse, Jr. (JD 73) was appointed to the Fifth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Jaime R. Girgenti (JD 01) was appointed to the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Ian R. Leavengood (JD 00) was appointed to the Sixth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Charlene Matthews (JD 82) was appointed to the Seventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Norm D. Fugate (JD 94) was appointed to the Eighth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Carter Andersen (JD 98) was appointed to the Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • Christine L. Derr (JD 04) was appointed to the Thirteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
  • George Wallace (JD 81) was appointed to the Sixteenth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
