  • The University of Florida sends teams to the National Environmental Moot Court Competition and the International Environmental Moot Court Competition. Students selected to participate in the UF teams have the chance to brief and argue a case, and to compete against teams from around the country in the annual competition.

    Members of the Environmental Moot Court have reached the semi-final rounds during the 2001 – 2002, 2002 – 2003 and 2005 – 2006 years.

The 2008 Environmental Moot Court Team was supported by a generous gift from the law firm of Akerman Senterfitt.

“Participating on the Environmental Moot Court Team not only allowed me to sharpen my legal advocacy skills, but it also allowed me to network with premier environmental law practitioners from around the country. The competition in New York City provided me the opportunity to test my oral arguments on real judges and practicing attorneys and was a great introduction to the practice of law. “
