Monday, September 16th

“Managing Your Online Image”

(Sponsored by Center for Career Development and John Marshall Bar Association)

It is not just about how you come across in your application materials and during your interview… your digital presence will also likely have an impression on employers. Stop by the table in the courtyard, grab a cup of coffee, and be sure to grab a handout to learn how your online persona can have an impact on your career objectives.

“Networking 101”

Legal networking is a critical component of your professional development and career exploration process. This event is designed to help ease students into this process help them feel comfortable in small or large group settings. Join a collection of panelists that includes lawyers and alumni relations specialist to gain the confidence to begin distinguishing yourself by networking.

“Dress For Success”

Join a collection of student organizations for a fun and informative presentation on the expectations associated with proper legal attire. The courtyard will be converted into a catwalk and commentators will provide insights on the clothing modeled by student leaders. Lunch will be provided for attendees.

“Government, Public Service, and D.C. Opportunities: The Insider’s Perspective”

(Sponsored by the UF Law DC Alumni Group)

Time: Presentation from 12:00-12:50, Lunch from 1:00-1:50
Locations: Hol 180 (presentation) and Faculty Dining Room (lunch)

A team of UF alumni are traveling from Washington, D.C. to Gainesville to make sure you have the insider’s perspective on how to land a job. Do not miss this unique opportunity to hear from lawyers and leaders who are here to help UF Law students interested in private and public service careers.

Additionally, limited seats are available for a networking lunch immediately following the panel. You must attend the panel to participate in the lunch. Space for the lunch is limited!
