Levin College of Law

Career and Professional Development

With a degree from UF Law, your opportunities are virtually endless. We prepare future leaders and elite professionals for the legal world and beyond. Between our engaged faculty, our active career center and one of the nation’s strongest alumni networks, you will always have the support you need along the way.

The Office of Career and Professional Development supports J.D. and LL.M. students in the pursuit of private sector, public sector, government, and judicial clerkship opportunities. Through programs, networking opportunities, conferences and practice interview programs throughout the entire law school experience, UF Law students are prepared to seek and land the job of their choice.

During the 1L year, each student is assigned to an OCPD advisor who specializes in career and academic advising. Students work closely with their advisor to develop and execute a personal professional development plan, exploring how externships, clinics, summer employment, and other experiential learning opportunities provide practical legal experience that will benefit students in their legal careers. Explore the links above to learn how the OCPD supports our students, partners with employers, and engages with alumni.
